Produced for the platform, not for the boardroom

A three-minute brand film has a place. It is not the place most video budgets should go. We start with where it will be watched and work backward.

Overview

Most corporate video fails because it was made for internal approval rather than external attention. It opens slowly, includes everyone's message, and runs long. On a social feed it loses the viewer in two seconds; on a landing page it goes unplayed.

We plan production around distribution. A day of filming should produce a hero piece, several short social cuts, product sequences for the website and clips for sales outreach — because the marginal cost of capturing more while the crew is there is small and the value is substantial.

Our most requested work is customer stories, and for good reason: nothing you say about your product carries the weight of a customer describing the problem it solved. Those require interview craft more than camera craft, which is where most testimonial video goes wrong.

Business benefits

What video production changes for you

The reasons this work earns its budget, stated as outcomes rather than features.

Planned around distribution

Formats, lengths and aspect ratios decided before the shoot, so one production serves every channel properly.

Interviews that get the real answer

Structured questioning that produces specific stories rather than the marketing statements people default to on camera.

Efficient shoot days

Detailed shot lists and preparation so a single day yields far more usable material than it typically does.

Vertical captured natively

Social formats framed during the shoot rather than cropped afterward, which visibly damages composition.

Full production handled

Casting, locations, permits, crew, equipment, direction and post — one team accountable end to end.

Accessible delivery

Captions and transcripts as standard, which also improves engagement on muted autoplay and adds indexable text.

Problems solved

If any of this sounds familiar

These are the situations clients describe in the first conversation, and what we do about each.

Our brand video gets almost no views.

Reframe around distribution — shorter cuts, stronger openings and platform-native formats. Length and pacing are usually the whole problem.

Customer testimonials sound scripted and hollow.

Interview technique that draws out specifics and moments rather than endorsements. The best testimonial lines are almost never the ones people plan to say.

Video production costs more than it returns.

Multi-asset production planning. Capturing for several deliverables in one shoot changes the economics substantially.

Our product is software and hard to film.

High-quality screen capture combined with motion graphics and human context, which conveys software far better than filming a monitor.

Questions

Video Production: common questions

The questions we are asked most about video production, answered directly.

A single-day shoot with crew, direction and post typically runs $10,000–$30,000 depending on scale and deliverables. Customer story videos filmed alongside other content can be considerably less per asset.
